Is it expensive to ship my order?


We work hard to provide the best possible shipping rates regardless of the size of your order.  We pass 80%+ shipping discounts on to our customers directly.  The best way to take advantage of our shipping discounts is to combine a number of products on your order(s).  Think about your house/project on a whole and let us supply the tile, hardwood flooring, bath tubs, sinks, etc. so that you can maximize your savings on the shipment of your order.  Right now we are offering FREE SHIPPING on all Carver bath tubs - over $250.00 in average savings!

How do you ship my order?

We ship orders nationwide utilizing the services of a few select carriers. Your products are fully insured during transit.  We pass our discounted freight rates directly on to our customers ensuring that you get the lowest rates possible.

All shipments are secured in boxes, pallets or crates to ensure that we do our best to deliver your order in perfect condition.

How does my shipment arrive?

Most deliveries over 120 lbs. will arrive via common LTL (Less Than Truckload)carriers and be scheduled between you and the delivery company ahead of time to ensure that everyone required being present is on-site for the delivery. Most deliveries over 120 lbs. include a liftgate on the delivery truck. You will need to be present to sign for the deliveries that arrive via common LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers, but are NOT required to unload the shipment from the truck yourself.


Most deliveries under 120 lbs. will be delivered via UPS and arrive according to that carriers normal delivery methods within your area. Typically these shipments require a signature for delivery and you will have tracking details onceour shipment is in route. 

Do I have to pay sales tax on my order?

Only customers that reside in Missouri and Kansas are required to pay sales tax on their order(s). Customers from Missouri and Kansas are also required to ship the product(s) they order. There are NO LOCAL PICK-UPS.

How do I measure for my order?

Measuring for your hardwood flooring or tile order is easier than you think. Simply multiply the length by the width of the work space and then multiply that number by the appropriate waste factor. MAKE SURE YOU ADD IN THE APPROPRIATE WASTE FACTOR. Waste factors depend on the material selected and the installation method and pattern that is being used. If you would like to double check your numbers please feel free to call your sales rep directly for assistance. The example below offers an outline for calculating the square footage and waste for a 20'x15' room.

Example:

Project Length: 20’

Project Width: 15’

Project Total Area: 300 square feet (20’x15’)

Necessary Waste Factor: 10%

Total Material Required: 330 square feet (300 x 1.1)

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

Typically most orders will arrive in 5-10 business days. Carver bath tub orders and specialty items may require longer lead times. Please contact your sales rep for further details regarding your order.

What do I do if my order arrives damaged?

In the rare event that there is damage to the actual product(s) your ordered YOU MUST make a detailed note on the drivers bill of lading. IF WHOEVER IS ACCEPTING THE SHIPMENT OR THE PURCHASER fails to note visible damage or missing items on the drivers bill of lading or if you later refuse to allow the damaged item to be inspected by the freight company for any reason, we will be unable to file a claim against the carrier and you will be responsible for the costs for additional product(s) and shipping. Freight companies reserve the right to examine the damaged material. Damaged shipments are extremely rare with our freight companies. Any concealed damage must be notified to us within 7 business days. REMEMBER YOU ARE COVERED AS LONG AS YOU MAKE IT NOTED ON THE DRIVERS BILL OF LADING AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY THAT THERE ARE DAMAGED CARTONS OR ITEMS.

IMPORTANT

Occasionally, at the time of delivery, you may find scuffed, ripped, torn or dented cartons. This is not serious unless the actual product(s) within have been extensively damaged. Understand that with all hardwood flooring and tile projects there are going to be pieces that are cut to insure a custom installation. Keep this in mind if only a small portion of product is actually damaged as you can use this material for edge pieces and cuts that arise during your installation. Also understand that we always recommend a waste factor to be purchased with any given material and this does not soley include cutting waste, but rather material and shipping waste that is common with certain tile & hardwood flooring products.

How do I qualify for Volume Discounts?

Volume discounts are available to those customers looking for larger quantities of tile, hardwood flooring, Carver tubs and sinks. We do ship full truckload and full container orders and encourage customers to take advantage of the material cost and shipping savings that are available with orders of this size. For such orders please contact your sales rep directly and have them assist you in determine the discounted rate for your order and the best possible delivery method available.
