SunTouch WarmWire Cables - Interior
SunTouch WarmWire Floor Heating is an economical alternative to Suntouch mats and can be used in small or large areas. Design your own layout by securing the heating wire to the floor with our WarmWire straps to maintain 2, 2.5 or 3 inch spacing.
Choose from the 120V or 240V options below and then select the length of WarmWire cable and accessories your project requires.
120v spools cover from 8 to 120 square feet of heated floor area. 240v spools cover from 16 to 240 square feet of heated floor area. You must select the amount of area you would like to heat and choose the appropriate size spool. When selecting the SunTouch WarmWire electric radiant floor heat spool for your room, remember the following basic guidelines:
- The floor heat from WarmWire will extend 1.5 inches from the edge of the wire
- Leave an unheated perimeter of 3 to 6 inches from walls
- Keep WarmWire 4 to 6 inches from toilet wax rings
- Heat right into the toekick of cabinets, so you have warm heels and toes
- DO NOT place WarmWire in areas that will be covered by fixed cabinets or built-ins
- WarmWire CANNOT be used in the shower (But SunTouch Mats can!)
- Select your wire Spacing - Closer spacing (2 inches) generates more heat in a shorter time, and requires more wire, while 3 Inch spacing generates less heat and should only be used for very low heat loss areas. We recommend 2 or 2.5 inch spacing.
- You can combine more than one spool on a Thermostat, but CANNOT exceed 15 amps total load on each SunTouch Thermostat Control. Each Spool begins at the thermostat; spools DO NOT connect together, but all originate at the thermostat to cover the room
- Buy 3M 90 Spray Adhesive to stick the WarmWire Strap to a concrete sub floor (screws on concrete board or plywood)
Don't forget to order WarmWire Strap and a Thermostat to complete your installation. We also offer other accessories to make your installation easier - consider the LoudMouth installation monitor and our Digital Ohm Meter (if you don't already own one).
