Floor Temperature sensing Thermostats are required to turn your system On & Off and to regulate the floor temperature. ALL of the controls have Built In GFCI protection for your safety.
- Programmable Controls have timer and temperature functions. You can program on and off times for each day of the week (or you can have the settings the same every day) and also program the desired temperature in conjunction with the On & Off times you have set. All programmable controls have an LCD display and can be used in a Manual mode to raise or lower the temperature without programming.
- Basic controls are Not programmable and have an LCD Display OR a dial to set the temperature (floor sensor is installed within the floor during installation of the floor heating)
- Regulators do not use a floor sensor and have a simple dial to regulate the amount of electricity that flows to the heat elements (much like a dimmer switch works on your lights)
The LoudMouth is an audible warning device to alert you to a damaged wire during installation. It DOES NOT replace an ohm meter, it is simply another tool that many contractors consider "peace of mind".
LoudMouth™ Monitor Watts SunTouch was the inventor of this handy device. It's a must for every job. The LoudMouth monitors SunTouch mats, WarmWire, or UnderFloor heating elements during the entire installation process and sounds an alarm if the heating elements are cut or damaged, allowing for easy repair before the heating elements are covered with finished flooring or insulation. The LoudMouth gives you the assurance of a quality installation. Features include 9-volt battery power, on/off switch, green light to indicate operation, red light to indicate damage to heating elements, test button to verify proper operation, and a very loud alarm.
SunTouch® Mat Installation Kit Everything you need to make the installation easier. Includes manual, English and Spanish installation DVDs; one 1-in. x 36-yd. roll of double-sided tape to secure mat to the substrate (enough to do up to 150 sq. ft. of mat-order extra roll(s) if needed); 5 NailTites to secure the power leads; and 20 wire clips.
CableStrap™ CableStrap is used to hold WarmWire in place at the desired spacing. All three spacings are possible with this one strap. Anchor the strap at 3-4ft. intervals across the floor. Cut using ordinary tin snips. Order one 25ft.-long coil per 40-50 sq. ft. of heated floor area
CableTrowel™ Most instances of damage to the heating wire occur when a metal trowel is banged onto the floor to remove excess mortar. A metal trowel can cut like a knife and either damage or totally sever the wire. The CableTrowel simply cannot damage the wire. For added peace of mind, consider using the new 3/8" x 1/2" notched CableTrowel to apply thin-set mortar.
Heating Wire Repair Kit This simple and safe kit repairs heating elements that have been damaged during installation. It is suitable for all SunTouch floor-warming products. Kit includes materials to make one repair: 2 black jumper wires, 1 ground jumper wire, 2 ground solder tubes, and 4 heating wire solder tubes. Detailed written instructions are included. Please call before making any type of repair.
Extra Power Lead SunTouch mats, WarmWire cables, and UnderFloor mats come standard with a 10ft. power lead, but can be ordered with extra-long power leads up to a maximum of 50ft. in length. When you place your order, let us know how long the leads need to be in order to reach the electrical box or control. We'll attach a custom power lead to fit your application. For 120 VAC and 240 VAC.
